Opportunities Ahead…
Smithfield Bypass a step closer with contract award
We are excited to be a part of the The Smithfield Bypass design and construction contract that has been awarded to Highway Construction / Albem Operations Joint Venture. The $152 million Palaszczuk Government project is set to begin construction in late 2018, with works due to finish in late 2020.

Singapore taps data analytics to better manage rail systems
Singapore is looking to build a rail management platform that will consolidate its existing tracking systems and tap data analytics to monitor and identify potential faults. The country’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) dished out a contract worth S$18.8 million (US$13.7 million) to a consortium formed by Siemens and ST Engineering Electronics (STEE), which would design and deploy the rail enterprise asset management system. Auckland Light Rail
An industry briefing was held this month by NZTA in relation to the Auckland Light Rail project and it is exciting to see that there is a genuine momentum to get this project under way with the Single Stage Business Case due for government endorsement by the end of the year. There are significant shared corridor risks and opportunities for this project during construction and operation that through technology innovations, would be able to be addressed.
