Opportunities Ahead…
AUTOCITS
JYW’s Richard Gonzalez recently attended the 4th AUTOCITS workshop in Madrid, outlining the development of C-ITS and CAV initiatives in Europe. The aim of AUTOCITS is to contribute to the deployment of C-ITS, by enhancing interoperability for autonomous vehicles as well as to boost the role of C-ITS as catalyst for the implementation of autonomous driving. Pilots will be implemented in three major Core Urban nodes (Paris, Madrid, Lisbon) located along the Core network Atlantic Corridor in 3 different Member States. With the project consisting of three main phases: Phase 1: Analysis and design; Phase 2: Pilots deployment and assessment; and Phase 3: Dissemination and communication. We are following the C-ITS progress in one of the world’s largest trials with significant interest. ITS Australia Data61 Function
We were delighted to have been invited to be a part of the VIP group that show cased Data61 data analytics capability to the TfNSW team. The Hon. Melinda Pavey, Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight briefed the main function participants on TfNSW initiatives that included the Rural Automated Vehicle Trial of which the EOI submission was due in March.
